We are in need of a motivated Analytics Engineer who will be hands-on and responsible for developing and maintaining data models, providing Business Analysts with clean data, ensure data is accurate by implementing data quality and integrity tests, and help establish data governance best practices . This role will be a member of the Jeeves’ Data and Business Intelligence team. As a remote-first, global organization Jeeves is committed to building a team as diverse as the companies we serve.
Location: This role is based out of Sao Paulo, Brazil and is a full-time hybrid position where it is required to come into our office in the Brooklin area. #LI-HYBRID
Job Responsibilities: - Data Transformation and Modeling : Use DBT to transform, clean, and model raw data into structured datasets that can be readily used for analysis and reporting. Develop and maintain data models, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability. Develop data models in a semantic layer to enable self-service capabilities in multiple end tools.
- Collaboration with Data Analysts and Data Engineers: Work closely with data analysts to understand their analytical requirements and provide them with clean, well-structured data for analysis. Partner with Data Engineers to understand data flows and write requirements to make sure required data is flowing into the data warehouse as expected. Assist in creating and maintaining data pipelines that support machine learning and advanced analytics projects.
- Data Quality and Governance: Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data. Collaborate with data stakeholders to establish and enforce data governance best practices.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize queries and data pipelines for performance and scalability to handle large datasets efficiently.
- Documentation: Document data transformation processes, data models, and ETL workflows to ensure knowledge sharing within the team. Help maintain the Data Dictionary with business definitions contained in the data models.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science)
- Strong background in Git
- Ability to demonstrate expertise in SQL and Python or R required
- Proven experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role
- Strong expertise in Data Build Tool (DBT) and Airflow or similar ETL and data orchestration tools
- Experience with database systems
- Solid understanding of ETL principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English, Jeeves is a global company and English is the language we use internally to communicate between regions
