• Advanced/Fluent English competency both written and conversation;
• Proven experience in conceiving and developing embedded hardware controls and control systems preferably in a consumer appliance product R&D environment;
• Proven understanding of electrical systems;
• Proficiency in mechanical 2D and 3D design and layout using Catia, AutoCAD or similar;
• Proficiency in schematic and circuit design and layout using ORCAD or similar CAD system a distinct plus;
• Demonstrated track record in supporting all aspects of an electronics manufacturing organization to achieve required production rates;
• Proven experience applying full life cycle “New Product Development” processes in the electronics and mechanical engineering environment;
• Familiar with ANSI, UL, CSA, NEMA and IEC standards especially as they relate to consumer appliance products;
• Experience with single-sided, double-sided, and multi-layer PCB design;
• Experience designing PCBs with mixed surface mount and thru-hole technologies;
• Knowledge and experience in systems integration and the interactions between hardware and software design.[/vc_column_text][headline font_container="tag:h3|text_align:left|color:%23e81d2a" margintop="0" marginbottom="10"]ATIVIDADES[/headline][vc_separator][vc_column_text css_animation="none" css=".vc_custom_1706551748633{padding-top: 5px !important;padding-bottom: 15px !important;}"]• An Electronics Project Lead is responsible for the organization, planning and executions of electrical controls system projects from marketing concept to production;
• Independently designs electronic hardware for electronic controls and control systems having significant technical content;
• Applies expert knowledge of applicable technology and industry/company standards to investigate new technologies, methods and test procedures;
• May supervise and mentor technicians or interns as required on a project or task basis;
• Develops product technical specifications based off of a variety of requirement inputs including consumer, marketing and industrial design;
• Develops prototypes and implements new product designs including analog and digital hardware and or firmware;
• Determines the benefit of product design re-use from existing products and modifies existing designs as input to new products;
• Prepares test and validation plans. Leads execution and direction of product testing;
• Develops detailed engineering documentation including block diagrams, schematics, fabrication and assembly drawings, component drawings, specifications, manuals and other customer documentation, development and test procedures, Engineering Change Notices and manufacturing procedures;
• Provides support and training on new products to other departments and customers as required;
• Estimates task durations and assists with the preparation of project schedules and product cost estimate including costed BOM’s;
• Exhibits appropriate professional behavior including positive attitude, sense of urgency, independent judgment, teamwork, creative thinking and personal integrity to achieve department/corporate goals and objectives;
• Works with outside consultants, suppliers and contract manufacturers to develop and manufacture electronic components and assemblies;
• Works closely with Purchasing and Quality to investigate, qualify, select and manage electronics suppliers;
• Works closely with manufacturing to ensure the smooth transition of new designs into the production process including support past pilot run and into full manufacturing ramp up;
• Performs special projects as directed by the Department Manager.
