Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to strengthen our finance and accounting team in Brazil. This pivotal role will address the critical need for enhanced internal accounting know-how, ensure accurate financial reporting, and contribute to our strategic growth objectives. The successful candidate will play a vital role in transforming our financial processes, enhancing transparency, and driving efficiency within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Enhance the internal accounting framework to ensure autonomy from external service providers.
- Ensure seamless integration and compatibility between our Transportation Management System (TMS Logic) and the accounting system, guaranteeing accurate financial reporting.
- Overcome language barriers in financial communications, effectively liaising between our Brazilian office and the German headquarters, as well as external partners.
- Develop and implement strategies for accurate group-wide financial consolidation, considering unique taxation and reporting practices.
- Prepare detailed financial analyses, including annual reports with explanatory notes and comments, to support strategic decision-making and satisfy external audit requirements.
- Contribute to the selection and/or evaluation of external accounting service providers, ensuring alignment with our company's standards and needs.
- Drive internal knowledge growth in accounting and financial management to support the company's expansion and investment opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA is highly advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in English and/or Spanish.
- Experience with international financial reporting and consolidation.
- Familiarity with accounting softwares.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
