Job description
Responsible for ensuring financial transactions are accurate and in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles as well as Noble accounting policies and procedures. Assist with internal and external audit requests. Prepare other corporate financial analyses, reports and presentations as directed by management. Participate in the month-end close process
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Economics from an accredited college, university or institution. An advanced degree is a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in accounting, with general ledger experience required. Reporting experience is desirable. Public accounting experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Brazilian and US GAAP is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP, and an expert in Excel. Experience with Hyperion and IFS products is desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and proven people and organizational skills.
- The ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines. May need to work overtime.
- Must be flexible and have demonstrated skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Team player and responsible individual who takes initiative and ownership.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Heavy participation in the month-end closing process including preparation of journal entries and account analysis / reconciliation.
- Ensure intercompany entries are properly recorded per governing agreements.
- Participate in the preparation of schedules for internal management reporting and SEC disclosures.
- Assist in departmental cost analysis and reporting.
- Support Regional Controller in monthly close processes and assist in working through issues.
- Legal Entity and governmental reporting and filings for some Corporate-held entities.
- Research and resolve various accounting and business issues.
- Develop and maintain monthly reports for management as requested.
- Prepare and maintain cash forecasts for regional entities
- Support preparation of annual budget and forecasts
- Responsible to ensure proper invoicing to customers
- Review and maintain proper accounts reconciliation
- Coordinate accounts payables and accounts receivables process
- Performs other duties and special projects as requested.
- Assist external and internal auditors with audit requests.
