Summary

HMH Brazil is looking for a highly motivated Engineer to join our team, as a project engineer at HMH ESS, you will play a crucial role in managing drilling rig life cycle service projects, including maintenance, upgrades, repairs, and modifications to enhance drilling rig performance, reliability, and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage drilling rigs life cycle service projects, including yard stops for maintenance, SPS (Special Periodical Surveys), and preparation for new contracts.
• Install and commission equipment, systems, and upgrades to meet project requirements.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and reliability of drilling rigs.
• Oversee a portfolio of upgrades, retrofits, and modifications to enhance drilling rig performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Undertake ad-hoc service missions to address specific customer requirements and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Handle warranty claim processes and ensure timely resolution to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Provide sales, tender, and administrative support related to projects, collaborating with the sales team to identify project opportunities and contribute to the bidding process.
• Engage in direct customer communication to thoroughly understand project requirements, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills to effectively handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail while maintaining focus on multiple projects and addressing various issues.
• Proven ability to manage projects from initiation to closeout, including scope, cost, schedule, quality, resources, risk, communication, and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in English is required, and advanced Spanish is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and engage cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative work environment and promoting team synergy.
• Strong HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) mindset, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a culture of safety throughout all project activities.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college (or equivalent degree).

Post-graduate studies in project management and a PMP certificate are advantageous.

Experience: Desirable experience with industrial project management

Additional requirements

Willingness and availability to undertake sporadic offshore and on-site assignments, as well as domestic and international travels for hands-on work.
