Job description
We're looking for Senior Fullstack Engineers - Javascript in Mexico City.
NOTE: To qualify, you need to live in or move into Mexico City, and be ok with a hybrid work environment working in the office 2-3 days per week.
Our client is a fast-paced, high-growth startup, committed to transforming a $30-billion industry through their all-in-one platform. Leveraging the latest technology. They're taking commercial contractors froms the world of pen and paper operations to digitized, efficent and data-drivem business.
The co-founders have over a decade of experience in both construction and SaaS technology. Our client has raised multiple rounds of funding from some of the largest and most reputable Venture Capital firms.
They are starting a new office in Mexico City. Be one the first engineers to establish a strong engineerg culture at this location!
As a pioneering member of the team, your primary focus will be to help continue to build the product from the ground up. We are looking for a motivated, self-starter who can work in a distributed team environment. This is a hands-on role. The day-to-day responsabilities are broad, and you will ultimately be responsible for delivereing software.
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will:

1. Upper-intermediate to fluent speaking and writing English. Able to have a real-time conversation.
2. 5+ years of full-time hands-on Software Engineering experience.
3. 5+ years of full-time hands-on Node.js API backend experience .
4. 3+ years of full-time hands-on React.js experience.
5. Experience being a role model to more junior engineers as an individual contributor.
6. Being able to guide the technology decisiona of your squad, while contributing alongside them.
7. Writing modern JavaScript/ECMAScript code that is clean, well-tested, and reusable.
8. Experience in Senior Engineering roles (designing APIs abstractions, and tools used by other engineers).
9. Strong communication and technical writing skills.
1. React Native experience or being open to learning it quickly.
2. Material-UI experience or being open to learning it quickly.
3. Prior knowledge or ability to quickly learn developing in a CI/CD environment.
4. Prior knowledge or familiarity with Python for back-end development is a plus.
5. Familiarity with Jest, unit testing, debugging, profiling, and performance monitoring.
6. B.S., or PhD from a topo university in computer science, engineering, or related fields.
