Job description
A reliable and secure Datacenter is one of the pillars of Unisys solutions. As a Data Center Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting all Datacenter related activities, interacting with other Unisys teams, vendors, and clients.
You will be part of a high-performance team of technical professionals who work together worldwide in the day-to-day to provide the best service for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists with System Installation and Decommission (Install Practice sends out all required service requests according to standard Six Sigma process) and break/fix processes.
- Project manages Installation of equipment on the Data Center floor, requesting and oversight of power, network, SAN and KVM connections.
- Provides review of documentation for Client services, operators and Client support staff.
- Manages asset tracking, configuration management, physical equipment locations and tracking all connections.
- Performs Incident investigation, reporting and recommendations.
- Conducts overall Data Center capacity design, planning and tracking.
- Manages Data Cabling; Network, SAN, KVM or remote out of band management systems, including managing cabling contractors.
- Conducts Power Circuits and Cooling to maximize efficiency, interface with data center facilities
- Monitors and operates datacenter equipment according to plan and/or SLA.
- Takes part in disaster recovery projects; knowledge in computer network.
- Performs Media Services Management with a matrix relationship with Storage Group.
- Performs change and request management for Data Center Facility changes and maintenance.
- Identifies client order information, coordinates installation, timing and owning resources, Inventories shipments, identifies and store all software and licenses.
- Notifies customers when scheduled computer processing has been delayed.
- Prepares documentation of all installations, floor plans, rack or cabinet diagrams, management of all existing documentation and planning for new installations.
- Prepares for asset disposal by performing manual labor to move.
- Maintains forms, logs and checklists, which are used to compile balancing information, statistical totals, setup instructions and checklists.
Other Responsibilities:
- Conducts Data Center solutions planning and cost estimates for Request for Proposal (RFP) and Statement of Work (SOW).
- Support the Sales team with new opportunities in the region.
- Participate in meetings with the Sales team in potential clients, representing the Datacenter area.
- Available to travel to support clients.
- Support audits, providing evidence of Datacenter reports, controls, documentation, processes, procedures.
- Conducts Data Center Security and Audits in ISO Certification Compliance, SAS70, SOX, etc.
Skills:
- Complete Bachelor’s degree
- Fluent English and Spanish languages
- Stay in Campinas or regions
- Conducts Data Center solutions planning and cost estimates for Request for Proposal (RFP) and Statement of Work (SOW).
- Support the Sales team with new opportunities in the region.
- Participate in meetings with the Sales team in potential clients, representing the Datacenter area.
- Available to travel to support clients.
- Support audits, providing evidence of Datacenter reports, controls, documentation, processes, procedures.
- Conducts Data Center Security and Audits in ISO Certification Compliance, SAS70, SOX, etc.
- Good experience in IT, technical support and Data Center Operations including Rack, stack, and server provisioning
- Cable management (copper cable termination / understanding of fiber optic cabling)
- Facilities planning – space, power, and cooling
- A+ and N+ Certifications, preferred
- MCSA/MCSE, preferred
- Experience in enterprise backup solutions, preferred
