Job description
An emerging company currently operating in stealth mode while building cutting-edge e-commerce solutions is looking for a Software Engineer. The engineer will be tasked with improving the overall end-user experience for the application. The company is developing high-quality web solutions that will help small/medium-sized organizations to boost their businesses. This will be a full-time position that requires significant overlap with the EST time zone.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally in a team environment with engineers, product managers, and designers to build effective solutions
- Collaborate across teams and departments with relevant stakeholders and partners
- Work with a high focus on quality and work iteratively to progress from good to better
- Write maintainable, high-performant code that is easy to read and well-documented
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Magento 2
- Nice to have at least 1 year of experience in Magento 1
- At least 3+ years of experience in PHP
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in jQuery and Knockout.js
- At least 6+ months of Laravel experience is a plus
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in MySQL and MariaDB
- A minimum of 2 + years of experience in CSS is preferred
- Nice to have experience in Xdebug (or other debugging tools) and Terminal (macOS or Linux)
- Solid understanding of local environments (Valet, Valet Plus, and/or Docker) and PHPStorm is preferred
- Hands-on experience with operating systems (Linux, macOS) is required
- Prior experience in VIM/Vi
- Fluent in verbal and written English
