Job description

The ideal candidate will act as an employee champion and a leader of change. You will plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's human resources function and performance.

Integrating sustainability into people leadership within a cross-business functional context is crucial for organizations aiming to align HR practices with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals.

The job holder ensures the effective execution of transactional and operational services as well as continuous process improvement and effective change management.

Responsibilities

The job holder provides leadership and coordination for all local Human Resource administrative, operational and process improvement/system change activities in the country organization.

• Proactively work with the country HR team to convert strategy, policy, systems, tools and processes into professional HR services for Brazilian client groups.

• Proactively partner with the HR community to support the implementation of HR solutions reflecting the business needs. Ensure appropriate metrics for local organization in line with global governance.

• Proactively identify service delivery issues within organization and take appropriate action; promote performance improvement initiatives based on local needs and structure. Seek and realize opportunities to improve service delivery model in order to improve customer satisfaction. Ensure efficiency and reduction of complexity by standardization and the use of best practice in service delivery for HR Services.

• Market HR Services to staff and management to build acceptance and encourage confidence in local HR Services and effectively partnering with a variety of stakeholders.

• Be the promotor and active sponsor of a company culture that supports the activation of our company values, true collaboration and sharing across the organization.

•Ensure the implementation in HR processes and system of local norms and laws in relation to HR administrative processes (e.g. payroll) and ensure compliance and risk management across HR services and systems locally.

• Within the scope of the function, develop and maintain constructive labor relations with active involvement in social dialogue in Brazil (Union Delegation,…).

• Understand and navigate the diverse cultural nuances of Latin American countries to ensure effective HR practices and policies.

• Lead efforts to attract, develop, and retain top talent in the region.

• Collaborate with business leaders to identify key skills and competencies required for success and implement talent development programs.

• Partner with global HR teams to design and implement competitive and compliant compensation and benefits programs.

• Ensure consistency and equity in reward structures across the region.

• Demonstrate a high level of cross-cultural competence to effectively lead and collaborate with diverse teams across Latin American countries.

• Foster an inclusive environment that respects and leverages cultural differences.

Including more Sustainability:

· Collaborate with the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives within HR practices, aligning with the organization's ESG goals.

· Integrate sustainable practices into talent acquisition, employee development, and overall HR strategies.

· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify sustainability priorities and engage employees in sustainability initiatives.

· Build partnerships with sustainability-focused organizations and initiatives.

· Develop and implement "green" HR practices, such as remote work policies, reducing carbon footprint in recruitment processes, and promoting eco-friendly workplace habits.

· Integrate sustainability considerations into employee benefits and wellness programs.

· Work closely with the sustainability or ESG reporting team to ensure alignment.

· Educate employees on the importance of sustainability and how their roles contribute to the organization's broader environmental and social goals.

· Develop training programs to enhance sustainability awareness and practices across the workforce.

Qualifications

• English language should be fluent both in the spoken and written form. Spanish language should be advanced.

• Several years in HR positions, should have a previous experience as an HR Director and/or VP .

• Deep expertise of local norms and laws related to HR administrative processes.

• Experience and proven track record in working across the core HR functions with specific experience in Sustainability.

• Team-oriented leadership skills honed through experience with senior management.

• Communications strategy and messaging skills with the ability to build long term partnerships with internal management & staff, including the various relevant representatives of workers groups and external stakeholders.

Compensation

Around BRL28.000 - BRL30.000 p/month (estatutário) + Bonus + Company car
