Challenge
The Senior BI Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing data models, dashboards, and visualizations to support business requirements.
Analyze user requirements, write SQL queries, and implement Power BI-enabled data & analytics solutions. And also, responsible for solving complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide actionable insights to decision-makers.
What you'll do
• Work closely with stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Create insightful and interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI.
• Analyze user requirements, write SQL queries, and implement Power BI-enabled data & analytics solutions.
• Ensure data availability and reliability for analysis and reporting by developing and maintaining SQL view statements.
• Design and implement efficient data models that support complex business scenarios and enable self-service reporting.
• Collaborate with other technology teams to integrate BI solutions with existing systems and applications.
In order to succeed in this position, you will need:
Mandatory skills
• Advanced/fluent English skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Power BI development experience: DAX formula language creating visual reports, paginated reports, and dashboards.
• Experience connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data for business intelligence.
• Experience developing tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehouse standards.
• Solid understanding of managing/rotating database connections in Power BI gateway, and ability to grant/revoke access to reports in a granular way.
• Knowledge writing, debugging, and optimizing SQL queries.
• Experience working under agile methodologies.
Nice-to-have
• Power BI security, permissions, and adm space knowledge would be nice to have
• Experience with Python, Snowflake, Gitlab, and/or Salesforce is/are a plus.
• Track record of delivering data-driven solutions with a customer-first mindset.
• Knowledge of implementing row-level security on data and understanding application security layer models in Power BI.
Non-technical skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively independently, and collaborate with other teams.
• Eager to learn and constantly improve technical skills.
