Job Title: Linux Engineer Duration: 6+ Months (C2H) Location: Remote Note: We are hiring for 3 different levels for same role which are Senior, Lead & Staff What will you do: This role will be responsible for the solution/technical architecture of services/solutions. In addition, this role will be responsible for software development, configuration, and engineering of solutions and requires specialized knowledge and skills, including subject matter expertise. Primary responsibilities include major service delivery activities. This role requires a strong knowledge of software development/engineering. The role requires a strong understanding of technical architecture and architecture of component/software service platforms. In addition, a combination of business process, and technology expertise is required. Responsibilities: Serve as full-stack (user interface, middle tier, or back-end) engineer on a variety of development projects (agile or waterfall) using our standard toolsets and services in a test/behavior-driven development approach. Investigate emerging technologies and new engineering techniques, and leverage opportunities that drive continuous improvement of the service, its use in solutions, and how the service interoperates with other services. Review and revise documentation on solutions, technical requirements, components, and APIs. Create and maintain regulatory documentation such as SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), WIs (Work Instructions), STDs (Standards), GDLs (Guidelines), etc. Interact with cross-functional teams, including Enterprise Architecture, to ensure complete delivery of solutions. Collaborate and Integrate with engineering services and platforms. Develops and maintains strong relationships with vendors and strategic external partners. Delivers high-quality work outcomes and customer service in a high-pressure, fast paced setting to meet company needs. Partner with external service providers to provide talent and services to drive high standards Drive innovation through the automation of services and capabilities Qualifications: BA/BS required and degree in STEM field preferred 5+ years of relevant technology experience Demonstrated hands-on Linux engineering experience Demonstrated hands-on Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience (or any of its downstream derivatives). Outstanding employee relations skills. The ability to work collaboratively with a team. Experience working in an outcomes-focused Product delivery mindset and experience with Agile software development approaches. Proven track record of innovation and continuous improvement. Ability to work in fast fast-paced environment and prioritize in parallel. Customer service orientation, eye for business value, and a bias for action. Exercises independent judgment, strong decision making and problem solving for key processes. Experience working in On-premise Cloud and public virtual private Clouds. Experience with Linux Operating System Shell scripting. Experience with one or more of the following tools/agents preferred: ServiceNow, JIRA, CHEF/SCM, Kibana, Grafana, CENTRIFY, enterprise document management solution(s).
