Teach fun English classes online via Zoom from the comfort of your own home or while travelling through Latin America!

You can set your own hours and teach on the go as long as you have a solid color backdrop, a laptop, good WiFi, a webcam, and a microphone.

If you love teaching, but dread prepping for lessons and grading, this is the perfect job for you. We provide our teachers with all the lesson materials so all you have to do is show up for class and do what you do best, which is teach!

Whether you’re looking for a second stream of income or a full-time job, we’ve got you covered. You can work as little as 16 hours a month up to as much as 30 hours a week.

What is a typical day for an Online English Teacher at LatinHire?

You will be scheduled shifts two weeks in advance according to the availability you provide us and we also offer the flexibility of dropping shifts and picking up extra shifts.

If you are busier one week, you can drop some of your shifts and have other teachers help you out or if you want to earn more $$ another week, you can pick up extra shifts and help other teachers out.

When you are on shift, you log on to our platform and teach the lessons provided as well as write short feedback for the students after class. Simple as that!

• It's an independent contractor position.
• Work from anywhere (computer, appropriate work-space, reliable Internet connection needed).
• Depending on the number of hours you decide to teach and on your schedule, you can earn up to USD 2,000+ per month.
• We don't require exclusivity. You could maintain an active account with us and with other English schools simultaneously, as long as you are only teaching with us during an assigned shift.
• The students are children from 8 to 14 years old and most of them are from Brazil and Portugal. The hours of service are from 8 am to 8 pm ET.
• You wouldn't need to create your own brand to attract students. If you join our team of teachers you would receive shift assignments from the get-go.
• You wouldn't have to prepare your classes as the content materials are already provided by us.
• You could teach up to 42 hours per week.
• Flexible schedule. You would define a certain weekly availability and every week will receive an assignment of 2-hours shifts within that availability. Then, you would be able to exchange shifts with other teachers.

Requirements:

• Native-level English speaker with a neutral accent.
• College/University degree (may be in progress) or alternatively, a Teaching English as a Foreign Language certificate or equivalent.
• Elementary Portuguese skills (CEFR A2)
• Experience in teaching English.
• Access to a computer with a reliable, high-speed (at least 1MB) internet connection.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must submit an availability to teach at least 10 hours per week within the hours of service (Mon-Sun 8am-8pm ET).
