Job description
Airswift is seeking a Materials Engineer to work on an outsourced contract in Rio de Janeiro with a major Oil & Gas Operator.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Follow-on fabrication of engineering equipment
- Construction and fabrication follow-up of equipment components across the globe – travel must be expected.
- Support EPI to develop SO-documentation.
- Perform verification activities and drive qualification process of the materialsfabricator to be permanent qualified as a supplier.
- Verification of Contractor(s) deliverables during engineering, procurement and fabrication/construction of the equipment.
- Reporting of Contractor’s progress to management.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS - M.Sc. in Marine Technology, Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering, or similar
- Experience with fabrication of heavy equipment
- Experience in materials analysis for construction of equipment, pipping, chains.
- Experience ensure the specification of the materials (welding types, etc)
- Experience in welding, NDT is desirable
- Experience from construction site follow-up
- Experience with quality follow-up
- Experience as Company Representative
- Fluent in English
- Experience with technology qualification and vendor qualification
