The Position
Among the main responsibilities of the position, we have:
- Plan, implement, and keep the model of business management and its related policies, ensuring compliance with other policies and observance of the working area.
- Define and develop policies, systems, procedures, and people management operational mechanisms, aligned with the business strategies.
- Encourage the development of supervisors, project coordinators and IT & Automation specialists and other talents through training, defining goals and development plans, and seeking motivation and commitment.
- Develop internal and external business partnerships with other leaders and important networks, ensuring the implementation of the best management practices.
- Promote continuous improvement and reduction of costs through the use of business tools.
- Supervise inspections and internal and external auditing in your area.
- Set direction by developing short & long-term objectives to drive customer & stakeholder value.
- Ensure robust processes are in place to exceed all quality objectives, specifications & requirements.
- Allocate resources: Provide strategic control of resource planning.
- Act as a process advocate to overcome barriers.
- Manage the performance of direct reports.
- Coach, develop & engage direct reports.
- Drive long-term process improvement strategies.
- Ensure all safety & environmental requirements are met.
- Ensure data reliability and that the IT and automation systems comply with GISP, by taking part in the strategy outlining the process of their area of expertise.
- Evaluate IT processes, supported by the DD&IT Director area, in the development and/or improvement of IT systems, products, and tools.
- Ensure that the system implementation is aligned with the global IT strategy and standards, at the PS and DFP levels, and in accordance with IT governance, including as regards the proper approval process.
- Identify and manage real and potential risks, taking corrective or preventive actions whenever necessary to avoid changes in the initial planning.
Qualifications
- You must have a college degree in Computer engineering, Computer science, Analysis and systems development, Information Technology Management, Automation Engineering, Production Engineering, and other similar Degrees.
- Fully proficient in both written and spoken English.
- It is desirable to have a professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven project expertise in planning/organizing, managing execution, checking results & revising strategic plans to ensure short & long-term objectives of the project are met.
- Knowledge of project management, process improvement tools & systems such as Lean and Agile methodologies
- Strong change management skills and deep business understanding
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven experience in working with stakeholders at all levels
About the Department
The IT & Automation team for the Montes Claros/MG Site Expansion is currently responsible for providing all connectivity, compliance, security, infrastructure and technical definitions services for the IT and automation systems under development for the new plant. We carry out our work always seeking to innovate to ensure that new solutions are robust enough to support the increase in production capacity expected in the coming years. We are always focused on the quality of our processes to ensure the safety of our patients and the engagement of our people, which is essential to Novo Nordisk's success. The Montes Claros Site is the only Factory in the LATAM Region and was recognized as the best Place to Work for the fourth consecutive year in Minas Gerais by GPTW.
