Job description
A rapidly-growing company that creates, trains, and improves AI models for projects connected to other marine conservation and fisheries electronic monitoring is looking for a Front-End Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for a strong front-end product and customer access for design research and feedback. The company uses only the most reliable data storage vendors while protecting the data with the most recent encryption technology.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create production-ready front-end code from Figma designs
- Familiar with creating video player improvements
- Create unique ways for machine learning and computer vision algorithms to interact with videos, for as by overlaying live, dynamic findings over videos
- Possession of a substantial front-end product and access to customers for design study and feedback
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 4+ years of relevant experience in front-end software development in a full-stack setting
- Extensive experience with Python, Django, and technologies such as React, Redux, and Sass
- Familiarity with tools for creating custom web-based video players and video-based interactions
- Experience deploying cloud-based web applications and knowledge of best practices for integrating with full-stack production systems
- Experience with Figma is preferred
- Experience translating designs into code from other similar design applications is a plus
- Familiarity with common machine learning and computer vision concepts and/or past experience in machine learning engineering is nice to have
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- A passion for great user interactions and attention to detail
- A track record of executing projects from start to finish and presenting results to clients
