Job description

• Define the overall industrial and operations technologies strategy for Symrise F&B in Latin America;

• Direct the activities or at least be part of the steering team of all functions involved in the Industrial Operations like scouting, sourcing, production allocation, warehousing, maintenance and control of materials from the receipt of forecasting replenishment needs to the delivery of the finished product and into finished goods inventory and delivery of products to customers.

• Ensure and develop the best synergies (industrial approach / ways of working / processes / operations technology / investments) with the other segments and divisions of the industrial organization within the Symrise group.;

• Validate Industrial Investment (Capex), monitor major strategic Capex investment (time, cost, quality and efficiency);

• Lead transversal strategic initiative in order to achieve significant cross Business Unit improvement / efficiency gain in operating costs, product costs, quality, industrial process;

• Support, train, advise the Directors of Operations (South Latam & North Latam): bring high level of expertise and challenges / help to leverage on what is already done;

• Ensure best practices sharing process & tools mutualization. Implement an industrial & technology "community" to avoid reinventing the wheel and minimize duplication;

• Be part of the steering team of all functions involved in the Supply Chain like sourcing, purchasing, planning, production allocation, warehousing and control of materials from the receipt of forecasting replenishment needs to the delivery of the finished product and into finished goods inventory and delivery of products to customers;

• Responsible for all Latam F&B Operations KPI’s and ensuring a highly focused, efficiency and cost effective operational organization;

• Co-responsible for Latam F&B Working Capital with emphasis on days on hand, inventory management and safety stock management;

• Align supplier capabilities with sourcing strategy and production plan with procurement and planning areas;

• Develop and implement strategies, procedure and overall team to optimize value of the entire functions and minimize industrial operations risk, ensuring all targets of Global Safety guidance are met or exceeded;

• Influence production planning for the region in coordination with customer orders, forecasts and inventory objectives. Ensure that Manufacturing Orders in the Organizations’ systems are prepared and post – production data is recorded in the systems;

• Ensure accurate information is recorded in the organizations’ systems of records.

• Accountable for providing the Master Plan analysis for LATAM Operational sites, proposing its development according to the division needs and ensuring the proper investment cases and expansion plans.

The following are our minimum prerequisites for the position:

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field and a solid experience with manufacturing supply chain operation and management;

• Master of Science in Supply Chain Management highly preferred;

• An accomplished executive with proven successful experience in the Food & Beverage, Flavor & Ingredients or Chemical Industry (industrial asset management, manufacturing operations, engineering, lean process, logistics, maintenance and quality management);

• Proven experience in leading investments and expansions in brown and greenfields;

• Proven leadership ability with a history in supporting a company culture that holds the values of excellence, leadership and service at the forefront of operations;

• Executive-level communication and influencing skills with the ability to resolve issues, build consensus among groups of diverse internal/external stakeholders;

• Significant regional experience & background;

• Operational Excellence certification preferred;

• Fluency in English and Spanish.
