Job description
We are looking for a Rails developer for the development team behind Promote International - an education platform with customers and users all over the world. The platform has a wide range of customers from large multinationals to small education companies and is truly international, offering 21 languages with users in 25 countries.
As a Ruby on Rails developer, you will be part of a team responsible for the technical design and development of the platform. Together with the team, you will have responsibility for the entire scope: from infrastructure through to Rails and the front end.
Ruby, RoR and other Ruby libraries
Tailwind and Stimulus for UX
PostgreSQL, Redis, ZeroMQ and ElasticSearch
Debian for the production environment
Docker and Kubernetes
AI: OpenAI integrations and GitHub Copilot
Live in Porto Alegre or the Greater Porto Alegre region
Have solid web development experience in Ruby or other languages, for example, Python, C# or JS
Have a good understanding of the technologies that form the basis for web applications
Are solution-oriented and pragmatic
Have an ability to understand the overall picture/end product
Own your work tasks from start to finish, have your drive and be self-motivated
Are curious about AI and how it is affecting the role of a developer and the products we build
Work with a multicultural team (daily contact with tech teams in another country, exercising and improving the skills of working remotely, in contact with other cultures besides the practice of the English language)

The customer you will work with is Promote International, a Swedish technology company within the corporate education sector that develops Promote - a platform for high-performance learning. Promote is specifically developed to address what the education industry calls learning transfer - how do the skills taught in a training program translate into desired changes with the customer?
The platform is used by training providers, HR departments and Learning and Development professionals worldwide.
