PHP Engineer

Job description

A U.S.-based company that is helping businesses engage with consumers online by leveraging the power of AI technology, is looking for a PHP Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of designing, building, and maintaining an advanced web-based product while working closely with a team of professionals. The company enables businesses to reach out to more customers through targeted ads, reviews, tailored social media marketing, proprietary lead response, and intelligent messaging services. The company has managed to raise $13mn+ in funding so far. This will be a long-term full-time position requiring 4+ hours of overlap with the PST time zone. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the migration from Rackspace into Azure and from AWS to Azure
• Take charge of upgrading the existing PHP version
• Be responsible for refactoring the code
• Update the DB and set it up on the new system

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
• Prolific experience working with PHP, Java, and MySQL
• Familiarity with Docker and Azure is desirable
• Excellent English communication skills
