Job description
As the IT Tech Lead, you will lead the management of our organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of all computer-related functions. Your leadership will provide strategic guidance on budgeting, enhance information security, and promote the integration of advanced technologies to improve our existing IT protocols.
This position requires availability during PST time zone hours and on weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide our software's development and maintenance to align with our broader IT goals, ensuring everything we do fits into the big picture.
- Facilitate teamwork by connecting team members, clients, and other stakeholders to pinpoint our tech needs and bring them to life.
- Take the lead in mapping out and implementing our IT strategies, making sure our goals and policies are put into action efficiently.
- Regularly assess our current technology and suggest improvements, keeping us on the cutting edge.
- Manage and safeguard our data meticulously, focusing on robust backup strategies and efficient database management for all types of content.
- Champion our information security efforts, overseeing risk management to keep our data safe and sound.
- Offer expert support for our key corporate applications, ensuring smooth operation of everything from email to collaboration platforms.
- Ensure our systems are always up-to-date and functioning optimally, overseeing software updates and workstation maintenance.
- Share your knowledge by documenting IT processes, helping to spread technical know-how throughout the team.
- Keep track of our progress and manage the IT budget effectively, providing insightful reports on our operations and projects.
- Adapt and take on new responsibilities as technology evolves, staying flexible to meet the changing needs of our organization.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a comparable role or related field.
- Proficient knowledge of AWS, firewalls, secure communication protocols (including VPN), and logging systems.
- Prior experience with XTRF will be considered advantageous.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP preferred, with CISM also valued.
- Demonstrated experience with Atlassian, Slack, and Google Workspace.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven background in administering Mac OS X, Linux, and Windows environments.
- Skilled in managing SQL/NoSQL database systems.
- Adeptness at navigating cloud-based applications.
- The capacity to harmonize stringent security measures with user experience and accessibility.
- This position requires PST time zone and weekends availability
