Role Responsibilities:
DevOps Practices:
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Jenkins, PowerShell, Packer, Ansible for Windows/Linux systems and AWS infrastructure.
- Automate system deployment, configuration, and monitoring processes to ensure efficiency and consistency.
- Collaborate with development teams to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for both Windows/Linux and AWS environments.
- Utilize version control systems to manage configuration files and infrastructure code.
System Security:
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect both Windows and Linux systems and data, including user access controls, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and implement appropriate security patches and updates.
- Monitor logs and analyze system activity to detect and respond to security incidents.
Collaboration and Documentation:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, network administrators, and support staff, to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
- Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members when required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience with DevOps practices, including infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.
- AWS experience - Deploying, supporting and troubleshooting AWS infrastructure.
- Experience of deploying infrastructure via Terraform (Ansible is useful as well).
- Experience in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Knowledge of Cloud Tools/ Solutions (NLB/ALB, IAM, Security groups, EC2, S3, WAF, Direct connect/VPN, File Gateway, EKS, Fargate, Lambda, R53, Workspaces and Cloudwatch) will be an asset.
- Experience in Windows systems administration, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
- Basic knowledge and experience with Linux systems administration
- Experience of Github for working in an agile team using Scrum methodology (Kanban helpful)
- JIRA knowledge will be an asset.
- Knowledge with Jenkins will be good, but not essential
- Advanced/Fluent English level (Conversation, Writing and Reading)
