The Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business and engineering processes in and around WatchGuard’s Business Systems and must possess a keen ability to see the big picture to identify inefficiencies, recognize points of failure, and leverage experience to derive best-fit solutions. This person should be an expert at dissecting problems and be able to effectively/concisely communicate process improvements back to stakeholders. Equally important is the analyst's ability to work directly with engineering teams and translate roadblocks/other events into terms business users understand.
The analyst will understand the importance of developing critical documentation to other team members and customers in order to build more consistent/repeatable processes. Finally, this person should have experience and understanding of operations for ensuring highly available, fault-tolerant, and robust systems and services.
The analyst will also understand, organize, and coordinate the SKU process. They will be responsible for learning and documenting SKUs and their attributes and related systems that contain that information and systems that need information as well as understanding the impact of each attribute and value associated to a SKU. The analyst will be the primary stakeholder and owner of WatchGuard’s Product Information Management (PIM) solution and assist various stakeholders in the SKU authoring process. They will also work together with Product Managers, Project Managers and engineers on defining and documenting product licensing models that may be affected by new SKUs or new product lines added to the portfolio.
What you will be doing:
•Create, maintain, and develop process documentation related to business initiatives around WatchGuard’s business systems in conjunction with engineering, operations, and development teams
•Create, maintain, and develop process documentation related to various SKU streams at WatchGuard and become a knowledgeable product owner of our SKU process and systems
•Identify inefficiencies in technical workflows and recommend innovative solutions to address these issues
•Provide input on designing new solutions based on cost, ease of use, security industry standards
•Assist in the development of policies and best practices related to business system best practices and industry standards
•Assist in defining key metrics for measuring success of our ongoing support of key stakeholders and their related systems and processes
•Meet with stakeholders to gather requirements for upcoming projects/initiatives
•Provide training and end user assistance during large scale application deployments
What you bring to the table:
•Bachelor’s degree in information systems, operations management, or similar technical field
•3-5 years with functional analysis on business systems
•Licensing system experience a plus
•Strong understanding and experience delivering software projects using the Agile methodology or similar development process
•Must have strong process analysis skills and ability to identify inefficiencies in technical workflows
•A self-starter who takes ownership of their work and excels with minimum supervision
•Ability to collaborate and drive consensus across multiple groups with competing priorities
•Extensive experience developing technical documentation and process diagrams
•Strong oral and written communication skills
•Able to see dependencies, risks, and issues from understanding business and system process
•High ability to communicate in English is mandatory for this position
•Availability to live in Santa Rita do Sapucaí (Brazil) will be an advantage
