Today they are a family of employees, athletes and followers are now over 10 million strong, with a total social media following of over 18 million and customers in over 230 countries across 14 online stores As a Sr. Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our datainfrastructure to support data-driven decision-making across various supplychain/retail functions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design,implement, and maintain robust data pipelines, ensuring accurate and timely dataavailability for analytics and reporting purposes. Responsibilities : Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and design efficient data models that support analytical needs related to supply chain/retail operations. Develop and maintain ETL processes using Alteryx to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse, ensuring data quality and consistency. Utilize Python programming to enhance data processing capabilities, automate routine tasks, and optimize data pipelines for efficiency and performance. Work closely with IT and database administrators to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our data infrastructure. Identify and address data integration challenges and performance bottlenecks, applying best practices to optimize query performance and data processing. Collaborate with business users to define data transformation rules, data cleansing procedures, and data enrichment processes. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, proactively identifying and resolving data-related problems to minimize downtime and ensure data accuracy. Qualifications: Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Engineer, preferably within the supply chain or retail industry. Strong expertise in data modeling, designing efficient and scalable database structures that support complex analytical queries. Deep expertise in Python and SQL in the context of ETL and ELT processes using Alteryx, including store procedures, data extractions, transformations, data wrangling and data orchestration using these languages. Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies, including data modeling, schema design (Star or Snowflake), and query optimization. Experience with GCP products , can build data pipelines for both batch and stream using GCP services such as Data Fusion, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery as a data warehouse. Proven experience in building event-driven data engineering pipelines using CI/CD and broader DevOps approaches in the cloud – ideally GCP but any experience across the major cloud providers would be fine as it’s normally interchangeable. Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders. Solid understanding of supply chain or retail operations, including relevant data challenges and opportunities for optimization. Sound good?
