Amazon Supply Chain & Integration (SCI) is looking for a motivated and experienced candidate with strong record of achieving results, analytical skills, hands-on supply chain knowledge and technology experience (nice to have) to join our team as Transportation Network Planning Manager, acting as subject-matter expert and people manager. In this position, you will own mid to long term strategy of Amazon transportation network, connecting middle and last mile flow, focused on cost reduction and customer experience.

This position requires working with multiple stakeholders across various other areas, not only in Operations but in business, finance, real estate, engineering and other teams.

This role will have the unique opportunity to impact (while getting to learn & grow in the career) the Supply Chain Network Strategy for Amazon Brazil.

Key job responsibilities
As Transportation Network Planning Manager, we expect that you will be able to:

- Develop new solutions for different business inside the organization, considering product profile, pickup point, density and other variables which would impact the transportation planning and execution
- Write strategic documents that clearly communicate supply chain vision to senior leadership
- Identify process gaps through deep dive of metrics and make operational improvements
- Develop and implement ideas to drive continuous improvement by simplifying the process, creating additional value and reducing the costs
- Drive high-impact and high-visibility solutions by partnering with multiple stakeholder teams to shape transportation network strategy
- Bring new solutions to ultimately drive the best customer experience in a reliable and cost-efficient manner
- Being in charge of operational plan for 3Y
- Being able to create forecast flow and accuracy methodology for transportation team
- Create complex scenarios and analyze trade-off decisions to ensure the best outcome in long term, considering costs, tax/profitability, speed, investments (cash flow) and transportation network plan
- Identify opportunities and influence organizations to gain support and overcome resistance with data and persuasion

About the team
Supply Chain & Integration is responsible for working with Consumer and other key stakeholders to understand Retail and Marketplace strategies for Brazil, aligning required programs and creating synergies on available resources from local and central tech and non-tech teams (i.e. tax planning, tax compliance, accounting, etc.). We also work to identify key tax gaps and requirements to deploy our systems and support implementation of LATAM and ECCF new programs like Middle, Last Mile and Sustainability. We join efforts from both Supply Chain execution and Ops Integration teams to leverage Ops strategy within BR Network and improve our deliveries with Retail, Operation & Improvements (RO&I) team. Our organization is structured into the following teams and pillars: (1) Supply Chain, with focus on innovation, improvements in our network strategy and planning, inventory placement and replenishment, S&OP and Inbound planning, inventory health and network losses, and (2) Ops Integration, responsible for understanding business and operations requirements to develop working backwards documents and align programs with Tech, Consumer and other important business stakeholders, with main focus on Supply Chain programs, Transportation programs and Network and Operational Excellence programs and solutions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related Math and Science discipline
- Relevant experience with Supply Chain management concepts such as forecasting, planning, optimization, or logistics gained through work experience
- Experience analyzing cost/benefit of proposed projects
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge
- Advanced English and fluent Portuguese language skills
