And you should be based in Latin America. About the role Software Test Engineers (STE) design testing infrastructure and write code to examine and validate large-scale software development and deployments. As an STE, your partnership with software engineering leads to creating and coding tests concurrently with product development is essential. You build tools that help developers be more productive, write better code, and test it themselves. Troubleshooting is an understatement; it's more like trouble forecasting. Responsibilities: ● Provide a risk assessment on the defects identified and set the correct priority and severity. ● Provide a holistic assessment of data quality based on the existing implementation vs new feature development. ● Work in an Agile Software Delivery methodology highly focused on creating data validation tests based on requirements. Required skills: 8+ years of overall experience. 3+ years of experience with Selenium. 3+ years of solid working experience in developing Test automation scripts, specifically object-oriented frameworks (TestNG, Java). 3+ years of experience in creating and executing tests using robust api testing frameworks (RestAssured) 3+ years of performance testing experience supporting high-scale back-end systems. Good working knowledge of NoSQL Databases (MongoDB, etc.) 2+ years of testing experience in an Agile Software Development methodology. Strong Java Coding Experience Experience with API services at scale End-to-end testing experience Nice to have skills: Exposure to Agile Management tools such as Jira is a plus. Experience with Test Management tools such as TestRail. Functional Testing on Native Apps, OTT (Over-the-top), and web platforms is a BIG plus. Mentoring of team members on the following competencies: -Test Automation and STE Test Automation Standards. -Use of STE Unified Test Framework. -Application behavior and testing techniques. -Test coverage for application(s) supported. -Efficient testing strategies and effective prioritization of scenarios Location: LATAM - 100% remote At Andela, we know our strengths lie in our diverse community whose talents, perspectives, backgrounds, and orientations we take pride in.
