The Role

Within Environmental, Health Safety and Quality Management & Improvement Direction, you will be working for the Global Quality and EHS Systems manager to coordinate activities in Global Quality and EHS ISO9 001, 14001 and 45001 and Customer Request management process. You will support on different projects and will manage a variety of daily tasks and also be responsible for local EHS floor.

Coordinates activities related to Quality, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety, aiming to ensure conditions that eliminate or minimize the risks of occupational accidents, observing compliance with all relevant legislation for the sites in Brazil, Argentina and Mexico.

 

What you will do:

• Manage global EHS and Quality, Document and Forms Control. 
• Support writing and revising global EHS and Quality documents.
• Maintain and improve the Environmental, Health and Safety management system for the Brazil, Argentina and Mexico operations. 
• Coordinate ISO 9001, 4001, 45001 & BRC certification program (Management of Reviews, audits, improvement action plans). Contribute to global program (ISO 9001 & BRC).
• Customer Requests: Prepare the answer to simple Customer Questionnaire request. Lead the process for complex Customer Questionnaire and Quality Agreement requests, coordinating actions from defining which experts must provide the answers to the validation and signature process management before answering to customers. Lead the process of coordinating Customer audit requests from request acceptation to the audit realization and the follow up of the action plan.
• Perform various assessments, audits, trainings, root cause analysis, and reports related to QHSE programs and policies, as well as enforce all legal and customer requirements.
• Connect with the hearts and minds of people in fostering a proactive safety culture driven by engagement programs, training, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization locally and globally.
• Develops and implements QHSE risk assessments for routine and non-routine activities and Develops JSA (job safety analysis).
• Manage and keep up to date all Operational and Business Licenses such as Federal / Civil / Environment / CETESB and any other license required by the company for compliance purposes; representing the company before government bodies and agencies, as well as, internal and external customers, regarding EHS matters
• Manage EHS programs like CIPA, SIPAT, Fire & Emergency Brigade, Waste Management and Enviromental Licenses; including trainings; follow-up at ordinary and extraordinary meetings and their programs, studying their observations and propositions, aiming at adopting corrective and preventive solutions for occupational accidents.
• Guide the company regarding Safety and Health at Work; use the legal framework, promote meetings with contractors, demand compliance with contractual clauses related to Safety and Health and advise purchases in negotiations;
• Drive safety awareness and culture - integrate safety into all levels of the Brazil / Argentina / Mex sites; responsable for the integration with all employees, explaining about Quality, ISO and PPRA PCMSO / EHS. Prepare training, admission and routine work safety programs, including awareness raising programs and disclosure of safety rules and procedures, with a view to developing a preventive attitude towards employees regarding work safety.
• In case of working accidents, drive the investigation process to determine root cause and corrective actions, record the occurence in a proper way, be in contact and do follow up with the medical services of the Institution for the necessary care to the injured and issue CAT (Work Accident Notice)
• Participate in Expertise and Inspections: Promote workplace inspections to identify hazardous conditions and take appropriate action, as well as, indicate and inspect fire protection equipment, with a view to reduce risks to the safety and physical integrity of the workers.
• Manage all process PPRA, PCMSO, LTCAT, PPP, E-Social and reports of electrical installations, lightning protection system report and PPP filing. Work closely with HR and other areas of the site as needed.
• Perform integrations with company's customers to release the access of the technicians into those companies and meet the requested deadline.
• Ensure compliance with the global requirements related to the EHS management system, such as: Non-Conformance and Incident reports management, management of the applicable legal requirements matrices, close and direct relationship with areas and departments of interest within the company (Technical Service and Sales, Supply Chain, HR, Compliance, etc.);
• Weekly follow-up reports with EHS issues to the leadership teams for Americas Region’s manager.
• Supervision of the Work Plan and close support for the activities performed by the EHS Champions in Latin America.
• Elaboration of Standard Operation Procedures and implementation of actions and processes to mitigate employees' exposure to the risk of contamination by the pandemic, assuring close support to the employees.
• Your job responsibilities will be shared between Global Quality Systems, Environmental Health Safety activities for Brazil (4 differents business units: Barueri, Jundiaí, Itupeva and Indaiatuba), Argentina and México. 


What you need to have
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial/Occupational Safety, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or closely related field.
• 5+ years of experience in an EH&S and Quality role.
• Knowledge of PDCA, process approach and risk management
• Knowledge, ability to explain and apply ISO9001,14001, 45001, experience with audit process. 
• Knowledge of problem solving /incident investigation tools (5 Whys, cause analysis/troubleshooting tree, 8D problem solving, REX).
• Knowledge of project management and LEAN tolos.
• Knowledge of rules for drafting technical documents and document management.
• Knowledge of international and intercultural relations.
• Knowledge of the MS office suite, JIRA, SAP .
• Demonstrates knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation in all áreas and NRs.
• Knowledge of Job Hazard and Safety analysis.
• You need to have experience with coordinating complex activities involving cross-functional stake holders, international activities, contract management and internal & external audits. To have company knowledge is a plus. You are comfortable speaking with people from different levels at the company.
• Autonomous, structured, rigorous and results focused with a good team spirit and strong analytical skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills in order to liaise with clients, subcontractors & employees.
• Ability to effectively deal with other people, especially other company personnel, to enlist needed cooperation in implementing regulatory requirements.
• Ability to deal with regulatory agencies, consultants, and other contractor personnel.
• Fluent English.
• Drive licence (CNH B).
• Availability to drive during the week to attend other plants in Brazil (Barueri, Jundiaí, Itupeva and Indaiatuba)
