About the role
We're seeking a finance/risk professional to lead two core processes within the tribe: pricing of financial instruments and calculation of credit loss provisions as defined by local regulators. This person will be the main responsible for running and improving both processes, aiming to increase their quality and accuracy while maintaining efficiency and scalability in the long run.
You'll be responsible for
- Pricing of financial instruments:
- Responsible for running the pricing process (mark-to-market and accrual) for the treasury book of all geos (Brazil, Mexico and Colombia);
- Responsible for pricing data to be used in financial statements and other accounting/regulatory reports;
- Responsible for ensuring completeness and accuracy in the registration of new financial instruments in a smart-efficient way, avoiding manual processes; and
- Test, criticize and propose enhancements in our processes/systems, contributing for long-term scalability.
- Local Provisions:
- Running the provisions processes following local regulations for all geos (Res 2.682 in Brazil and equivalents for Mexico and Colombia);
- Owning provisions data to be used in financial statements and other accounting/regulatory reports;
- Developing tests and monitoring capabilities to ensure robustness and quality of data being generated; and
- Lead the implementation of business rules for new products when necessary.
We are looking for a person who has
- Previous experience with pricing of financial instruments;
- Good conceptual understanding of Provisions (knowledge of specific regulations and/or previous experience are a plus);
- Proven data manipulation skills (regardless of which programming language), being able to develop, understand and maintain complex queries;
- Investigative profile, being able to criticize the numbers being generated and then assess whether or not they make sense in a business context;
- Self-leadership and ability to work in a fast paced environment, being able to meet fixed deadlines with internal third-parties.

Our Nu Way of Working
Our work model is hybrid and has cycles that can be from two to three months according to the business of expertise. For every eight or twelve weeks of remote work, one will be at the office.
