Job description
- Ensuring Medtronic’s Compliance Program particularly the Business Conduct Standards,Channel Compliance program and Conflicts of Interest are understood, processes are in place to comply with the requirements, and employees are appropriately trained.
- Providing timely, strategic and practical compliance guidance and advice to the America’s Leadership team.
- Ensuring adequate record maintenance and processes are in place to document compliance efforts.
- Participating in the annual risk assessment process and ensure regional work plans are aligned with the compliance risks.
- Collaborating with Regional and other stakeholders such as Human Resources, Finance, Channel Management, Global Compliance Investigations, Global Compliance Programs, and others to ensure compliance program requirements and initiatives are aligned with regional priorities and activities.
- Fostering ethical culture, including “tone at the top” and “tone in the middle” through strategic influence and leadership.
- Leading ethical culture initiatives throughout the region and supporting the Americas RLM Ethical Culture Annual Plan.
- Leading the Regional Channel Risk Mitigation Committee and presenting status reports on projects and programs to RLM Leadership Team.
- Collaborating across the Global Regions and with the Global Compliance Programs team to ensure consistency and standardization.
- Helping establish routine compliance program objectives, timelines, milestones, and budgets to align with company goals and objectives.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Nice to Have • Ability to manage and execute multiple complex projects (including those with systems responsibilities) across multiple stakeholder groups within required timelines and expectations required.
• Understand complex and diverse compliance environments and ability to work effectively with multi-divisional teams in different locations / businesses / geographies to ensure compliance particularly in matrixed and/or multinational organizations.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong working relationships, involving multiple business functions, units, and/or geographies.
• Proven execution under pressure and ability to maintain positive, enthusiastic attitude.
• Exceptional interpersonal, oral, presentation, and written communication skills, including to senior leaders/executive audiences.
• Ability to identify high risk situations and provide appropriate guidance, including the ability to make courageous and unpopular decisions.
