Job description
A U.S.-based organization that is committed to offering excellent healthcare, research, and medical education services, is looking for a Clinical Data Programmer. The selected candidate will be responsible for creating policies and ideal practices for putting data standards into effect. The non-profit organization is fostering ground-breaking discoveries that will contribute to enhancing human health on a global scale. This position requires at least 4 hours of overlap with the EST time zone. The company has managed to securely raise more than $7.6mn in funding so far.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of strategic plans for upcoming initiatives and facilities, and provide advice on best practices for database management
- Develop the report specifications in collaboration with the research study team
- Create, program, and evaluate clinical data reports for assigned trials and projects, including listings, summary tables, and graphics
- Create data extraction software or procedures for transferring data to authorized organizations or people
- Assemble several data sources into one database or dataset
- Enforce adherence to the rules and guidelines for data management and data systems that apply both internally and externally, such as good clinical practice (GCP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and organizational standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Construct standard and ad hoc query reports for project management and data integrity monitoring
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a data programmer
- Demonstrable experience working with Data Extraction and Reporting Services
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry is desirable
- Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written
