Job description
A NASDAQ-listed company that is enabling businesses to securely and reliably connect to the world’s leading cloud service providers, is looking for a Go Software Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for adding features and fixing bugs based on existing GitHub issues. The company’s innovative high-performance, cost-effective, and scalable cloud hosting and infrastructure solutions are designed to fit the specific needs. So far, the company has managed to secure more than $1.2bn in funding. This position requires 4+ hours of overlap with the EST time zone.
Job Responsibilities:
- Determine project requirements and develop work schedules for the team
- Work on fixing bugs and improving the application performance
- Create, maintain, and support opensource integrations for the company’s products and services
- Participate in building and implementing effective test strategies
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
- 2-3+ years of experience working with Kubernetes
- 6+ years of experience working with Linux, Go, and Python
- Demonstrable experience with opensource Go projects and networking skills
- Sound knowledge of Terraform, Cluster API Provider, and Metal CLI as well as Cloud Provider for Kubernetes
- Experience with Generated SDKs like OpenAPI, Python, Go, and Java
- Extensive experience with Ansible, Pulumi, Juju, and Crossplane Provider (Python, Go, and Kubernetes code)
- Strong knowledge of Slack, Jira, and GitHub
- Nice to have a strong working knowledge of Terraform
- Fluent in spoken and written English
