We are a leading e-commerce platform based in Germany, dedicated to providing innovative solutions and a seamless shopping experience for our customers. With a strong commitment to data-driven decision-making, we are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our dynamic team and help build scalable data infrastructure to support our growing business.

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, transform, and load large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources into our data warehouse.
Implement data models, schemas, and architectures to support business analytics, reporting, and data visualization requirements.
Build and maintain data integration workflows using tools and technologies such as Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, Kafka, and AWS Glue.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements, perform data wrangling and preprocessing, and support machine learning model development and deployment.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security by implementing best practices for data governance, access control, and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR).
Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines and infrastructure to meet scalability, reliability, and performance goals.
Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering, big data processing, and cloud computing to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Main requirements

5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer,or related roles;
Strong knowledge of data processing frameworks and technologies (such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, or Hadoop);
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data engineering (such as Python, Scala, or SQL);
Familiarity with data integration and ETL tools;
Solid understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and data warehousing principles;
Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and analysis;
Experience with machine learning frameworks and technologies;
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
Strong communication and teamwork abilities;
Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment.
