The Global Audit & Assurance (GA&A) department is currently recruiting for a Lead Auditor, position based in São Paulo, Brazil . Both domestic and international travel may be required.

GA&A provides independent, objective assurance and advisory services designed to assist management in ensuring an effective system of internal controls is in place, in compliance with government and industry regulations.

Responsibilities:

The Lead Auditor will be responsible for assisting the Audit Leadership Team in the execution of the annual Johnson & Johnson audit plan primarily supporting the North America region. The Lead Auditor will perform Risk Based Reviews, SOX Audits and other types of specialized reviews within the region (occasionally in other regions) and across all business sectors while partnering with internal and external stakeholders, collaborating with other audit teams, helping ensure strong internal controls for the organization, promoting best practice adoption, developing talent, and cultivating a diverse and motivated team. Other primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Acting as or assisting the Job Manager in preparation of the audit, conducting review of the audit team’s work, performing testing, preparation of the final audit report and supporting audit teams and internal customers throughout the audit to ensure any potential concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
• Independently leading and executing assigned SOX 404 audit program for North America.
• Identify relevant risks to develop appropriate scopes and testing plans that will effectively assess risk management within the entities that are being audited.
• Supporting business partners on process consultations and other initiatives that may require GA&A’s involvement.
• Discussing and finalizing recommendations, observations and/or insights.
• Supervising and developing staff during the reviews.
• Leading Organizational Health sub-pillar project teams to assist with departmental goals and objectives aimed at improving audit operations and customer service.
• Acting as a Counselling Manager for 1-2 auditors.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a BA/BS degree or relevant qualification is required in Accounting, Finance, or other business discipline.
• A minimum of 4 years of professional working experience in Accounting, Finance and/or Auditing is required.
• Sarbanes Oxley experience is preferred.
• CIA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA, CMA, CISA, CFE, CRC or other relevant professional qualification is strongly preferred.
• Candidate must possess excellent analytical, technical (e.g., Accounting, Excel), conceptual, communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, required.
• Individual must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, required.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and coach staff, required.
• Fluency in English is required, multiple languages preferred.
• Ability to have a travel frequency around 35% is required.
• This position is located in São Paulo, Brazil.
