Your mission

Odds Scanner is looking for an Portuguese-speaking SEO Content Writer to join our remote full-time team focused on the Brazilian sports betting industry.

Based in Malta and Portugal, Odds Scanner is a media and technology company that is active in several sports and gambling markets in Latin America and the United States. We have a diverse & international team with offices in Malta and Lisbon and with team members working remotely in Brazil, the United States, Canada, Spain and many other countries around the world.

The regulated Brazilian sports betting market is one of the fastest-growing industries in the country, and we want you to help us find our footing in this challenging but exciting endeavor.

In this role, you will be doing a lot of experiments and testing different strategies and executions. Not all of them will be successful, but we’re looking for someone who is willing to learn, is comfortable with the unknown and has an ability to execute on our short, medium and long-term goals.

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who has strong writing skills, solid understanding of SEO, lives and breathes sports, can adapt on the fly and is interested in growing within the company.

Responsibilities

• Write clear, concise copy with a distinct tone of voice;
• Follow content creation guidelines ensuring compliance with SEO, editorial standards and efficient delivery meeting strict deadlines;
• Make relevant suggestions to help fill in editorial gaps and contribute to team development;
• Research thoroughly topics to write accurate informative articles to multiple iGaming and sports brands;
• Maintain excellent writing and proofreading skills to produce top-notch content with minimal supervision;
• Collaborate with team members on developing content ops training assets when necessary.

Requirements

• Major in Journalism preferred but not required;
• Proven experience as an SEO Content Writer or similar role;
• Native in Brazilian Portuguese and has working proficiency in English;
• Past sports betting/iGaming experience preferred;
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills;
• Someone who can work independently but is willing to learn.
