The Challenges: Embedded Systems and Communications

This team uses advanced embedded systems knowledge to increase synergies between multi-disciplinary teams in charge of bringing up new application software, hardware and communication products to market.

Our team enables the use of advanced communication, security and edge computing technologies in order to meet the very demanding 24/7 real-time mine environment. Embedded Systems and Communication also provides platform and edge solutions aligned with industry trends for enabling a SoA ecosystem with DevOps principles.

Job Purpose

• Work with high technology projects and times distributed in 4 countries (Australia, Brazil, Canada, and USA);
• Develop as a professional;
• Develop the use of the English language;
• Acquire experience necessary to enter the job market, adding value to the CV;
• Be mentored by experienced Brazilian and foreign professionals;
• Possible job offer at Modular Mining Systems, being able to start an international career.

Required Skills

• Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or courses related to the technology area, preferably from the 5th period on;
• Coding skills in at least one major object-oriented language;
• Interest in the area of Software Development and Testing;
• Ideally fluent English;
• Flexible hours;
• Salary compatible with the market;
• Workload of 20 or 30 hours per week.

Desired Skills

• Knowledge about open source / community driven hardware like Arduino, Beaglebone, Raspberry PI.
• Familiar with Linux Software development
