The Role
Fastmarkets are working through an M&A divestment from its previous parent company, Delinian. Fastmarkets has legally separated and are now in the process of transferring global payrolls from disparate providers to a new consolidated payroll provider, Cloudpay. The team is standing up HR operations and payroll capabilities to cover 620 employees based across 9 countries, including US, Brazil, UK, Bulgaria, China, Singapore, Belgium, Finland, and Ukraine.
We are seeking an experienced payroll specialist to join our team on a 12 month, fixed-term employed, basis to provide operational and administrative support on our various payrolls whilst the existing Global Payroll Specialist focuses on implementation globally.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in US payroll, with a focus on managing multiple states and a deep understanding of pay code setup and administration. An understanding of payroll in Brazil is strongly desired.
Principal Accountabilities
Work closely with existing HR operations team members (globally) who currently process payroll inputs, to ensuring timely and accurate payroll runs for all global entities. This will include running reports, ensuring payroll items are saved in appropriate locations, and completion of monthly payroll checklists.
Ensuring payroll input deadlines are met, conduct input checking process, and assist in reconciling received outputs from providers to facilitate payroll approval by the Global Payroll Specialist or Head of HR Operations.
Manage payroll escalations to suitable resolution. Support local payroll audits as required.
Demonstrate exposure and understanding of the US benefits and 401k administration.
Provide ongoing support for BAU activities in various locations, including amendments and any changes related to benefits and 401k/ pensions), mainly focused on US and UK.
Provide expertise in US pay code setup and administration to facilitate the transition of the existing payroll provider in the US. Exposure to other geographical payrolls would be advantageous. The role will be responsible for supporting specific US migration activities (across 26 US States), including managing employee W2s and associated administration.
Assist the Global Payroll Specialist in implementing the ‘to be’ payroll process, ensuring HR Operations and Payroll work in the most efficient and effective method possible to streamline time, effort and accuracy of payroll approvals and amendments.
Collaborate with the team to ensure a seamless transition of payrolls and provide data validation activities related to payroll migration.
Ensure compliance with local payroll regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements in each country of operation, often via the local outsourced provider and own research.
Coordinate with external providers to prepare and submit payroll tax filings, reports, and remittances accurately and within specified deadlines.
Generate and analyze payroll reports for internal stakeholders and management.
