Job description
We are a Recruitment company based in Colombo Sri Lanka and our client is one of the leading PLC company in Sri Lanka.
As a Supply Chain Officer you will play a critical role in optimizing our company's supply chain processes to ensure efficiency costeffectiveness and timely delivery of products. You will collaborate closely with various departments including procurement logistics and operations to streamline operations and enhance overall supply chain performance. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Overseeing and coordinating procurement activities to ensure timely sourcing of materials and services while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards.
- Monitoring inventory levels and optimizing inventory management practices to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Analyzing supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborating with logistics providers to optimize transportation routes reduce lead times and ensure ontime delivery of goods.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers negotiating contracts and managing vendor performance to ensure adherence to agreements and quality standards.
- Implementing and maintaining supply chain best practices policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Providing regular reports and analysis on supply chain performance metrics to management and making recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications and experience :
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management logistics business administration or a related field.
- Proven experience in supply chain management logistics or procurement roles at least 12 years.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices contract negotiation and vendor management.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to supply chain operations.
