About the Role:
The Benefits Program Manageris an individual contributor role, itreports to the Director of Total Rewards,and will serve as thetechnicalsubject matterexpertfor the bank’s benefitsadministrationendeavors.They will work directly, and frequently, withbenefit brokers,carriers, providers, and vendorsas theprimary point of contact and resource connecting the bank with itsthird-partyadministrators.They will also collaborate with internal teamson efforts related todata management and analysis,financialpayments and reconciliations,payroll deductions,internal audits,benefit plan designs,and will havefullownership of the annual open enrollmentprogram.The Benefits Program Manageralso provides supportand resolutionas needed for escalated benefit related challenges, identifies areas of opportunity, andrecommends and/orimplementssolutions anchored to effectiveness and efficiencies.
About You:
Youhavea bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related fieldextensiveandat least five years ofbenefits administration experience.Youhavebreadth and depth of benefits plan designknowledge, and youenjoy spending the majority of yourworkdayinteracting withbenefit brokers, carriers, providers, and vendors.You describe yourself as analytical,articulate,a benefits expert,and someone who is a strong independent performer able to work autonomously.You are capable and comfortable connecting with associates at all levels of the organizationand are committed to providing excellent customer service. You take personal initiative, responsibility, andare a positive example for others to emulate.Youreside within the company’s footprint (AZ, CA, CO, ID, NV, OR, UT, WA);preferably within Oregon’s Portland metro area or Washington’s Seattle-Tacoma metro region.
Work Style:
Umpqua Bank offers a Flexible Workplace Program, and this opportunity comes with the Flex Office work style which is working in office from a designated company location three days weekly with flexibility to work remotely up to two days weekly.
We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for thisexemptrole is $90,000.00to $160,00.00and the pay rate for the selected candidate isdependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
