Charles Taylor InsureTech is looking for a Technical Solution Architect to provide technology solutions to business problems that meet business requirements defined by the different Charles Taylor customers. In this role, you will provide strategic tools to all levels of Charles Taylor business and other clients to enable them to perform their jobs efficiently and accurately. You will be describing the gist of the solution, its structure, and the way it fits with the rest of the business structure and contributes to the workflow in Charles Taylor and in its projects. Also, you will participate in the recommendation and selection of the technology stack, frameworks and platforms to solve the customers’ requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· Responsible for defining the application architecture.

· Responsible for providing specifications for technical, infrastructure and technology solutions.

· Responsible for defining solution requirements, key features of the solution, and phases of implementation.

· Continuously researches emerging technologies and proposes changes to the existing architecture.

· Responsible for providing specifications for solutions management and delivery.

· Responsible for analyzing the impact of the solution on the state of the business' goals and direct outcomes of solution implementation.

· Responsible for specifying the technology environment and the technology required to solve a given business problem.

· Validation and documentation of the solution requirements.

· Supervises and guides development team.

· Building cohesive workflows for team collaboration and Stakeholder result presentation to manage expectations and keeping things grounded in reality.

· Development of the solution’s proof of concept to show that a feature can fit in the customers’ environment.

Required Skills

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

· Proven commercial experience in software engineering, preferably in enterprise-scale applications, using TDD.

· 5+ years’ experience in programming languages.

· Experience in Cloud Solutions, DevOps.

· Experience in business analysis.

· Experience in IT infrastructure.

· Experience in software architecture design.

· Sound knowledge in technical tools for all the environment layers.

· Deep analytical skills to see the connections between layers of business operations.

· Knowledge of RDBMS concepts, designing databases in Oracle 11g/12c environment.

· Knowledge in Project Management best practices.

· Experience working in an Agile development environment.

· Good interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members.

· Good understanding of Unix or Windows scripting.

· Desirable – Insurance industry knowledge.

· Preference will be given to candidates who are TOGAF certified.
