Our Legal Department, organized by Practice Groups, ensures timely communication of legal and regulatory changes. As a Corporate Legal Analyst, you'll be part of a Legal Support Team providing services to various Practice Groups, potentially focusing on specific groups or regions.
As a Corporate Legal Analyst within the Corporate Legal and Commercial Banking Legal departments, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team. Your responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of agreements, assisting attorneys with corporate legal related issues, and conducting legal research. You will also have the opportunity to engage in special projects and contribute to the team's success. This role requires a law degree from a premier law school, 1-2 years of corporate law experience, excellent English language skills, and strong organizational skills. You should be a self-starter with a proactive approach and have a working knowledge of contract review and legal analysis.
Job responsibilities Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of agreements.Assist attorneys with advising on corporate legal related issues.Assist with due diligence review and deal closing deliverables, as needed.Assist with drafting various other corporate law transactional documents.Conduct legal research and analyze laws, regulations and developments and communicate to senior leaders.Engage in other special projects, as needed.Required qualifications, capabilities and skills Law Degree from a premier law school and membership in jurisdictional organization. Attorney candidates must be in compliance with all relevant licensing requirements including the requirements of the jurisdiction where the role will be located prior to commencement of employment.At least 1 year of corporate law experience in a major law firm and/or financial institution Excellent English language skills, both spoken and in writing – required.Excellent organizational skills – required.Self-starter and pro-active – required.Working knowledge of contract review and legal analysis.All candidates for roles in the Legal Department must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment.
