Computer Scientist as IT Coordinator (m/f/d) IT Project Management
RheinMain University of Applied Sciences, with its campuses in Wiesbaden and Rüsselsheim, sees itself as a cosmopolitan, diverse university. The following position is available in the Department of Design, Computer Science and Media (DCSM) at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences:
IT Coordinator (m/f/d)
Your tasks
- Implementation of IT infrastructure measures, including requirements analysis, conception and coordination from project planning to project acceptance of the DCSM department
- Operation of the department's own infrastructure and the services hosted on it, in particular for design support (3D design, 3D printing, graphics, film production), in the area of AI (GPU server) as well as internal cloud services and development environments
- Support for users of the above-mentioned services through consulting, installation and training
- Representation of the department in university-wide IT-related committees
Your profile
- Completed studies, preferably in the field of computer science or comparable
- Experience in project management of IT projects as well as in resource planning and risk management, ideally in a university context
- Experience in the administration of IT infrastructures, including networks, servers, storage solutions and cloud technologies
- In-depth knowledge of IT security and performance management as well as system and service architectures is desirable
- Very good understanding of technical aspects in at least some of the following areas: Databases, SAN, network and security technology as well as applications from the CAD, VR/AR, 3D design and printing environment
- Good communication skills, especially in dealing with heterogeneous user groups and a high level of service orientation
- Very good German language skills (native speaker or C1 level proven)
- Experience in committee work is an advantage
