Description of Role:

We are looking for Senior Provincial Director, ANB Operations who will be reporting to the VP of ANB Operations and will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Ambulance New Brunswick (ANB). The ideal candidate will possess a management style that is transformational, visionary, creative, collaborative, and supportive of the vision, goals, mission, and values of the organization. In addition, this role leads staff and systems responsible for meeting service delivery performance requirements.

Working closely with the VP of ANB Operations, the Senior Management team and key stakeholders, the Senior Provincial Director, ANB Operations will collaboratively develop strategic and operational plans aligned with MHSNB's strategic plan, ensuring the continuity and improvement of ANB’s operations and standards.

Senior Provincial Director, ANB Operations essential functions:

• Provide leadership for the overall effectiveness of the ANB operations through established best practices and standardized operating policies and task responsibilities.
• Provide direction and guidance to the operational teams to assist them with implementing best practices.
• Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach, assigning accountabilities, setting objectives, establishing priorities, monitoring, and evaluating results.
• Lead, accountable for and oversee the annual development and implementation of the operations business planning process and budgets.
• Work with the Vice President of Quality, Patient Safety, and Education to ensure the application of clinical competency maintenance programming that allows clinical management staff to maintain clinical skills and registration.
• Coordinate labour contingency plans in conjunction with Human Resources.
• Oversight and coordination of special events and disasters that will impact our provincial system in whole or part.
• Ensure the appropriate staffing/training policies and procedures are in place at the supervisory level to apply operational contractual procedures daily/weekly/annually consistently.
• Responsible for business continuity in situations impacting ANB’s ability to deliver service.

As the ideal candidate, you possess

• Post-secondary education in Business (BComm/BBA),
• Preferably 10 years’ leadership experience in managing staff and leading teams; but, will consider a minimum of five (5) years with combined experience and education.
• Sound business judgment and think strategically;
• Strong analytical, problem solving, time management and organizational skills and have excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills.
• You thrive in a fast paced environment, are comfortable managing numerous priorities and have a flexible nature and collaborative style.
• Ability to work as a team leader at a local, provincial and inter-agency level with the ability to coordinate large groups of people is key to your success.
• Experience managing in a complex organization with multiple reporting lines and experience in the service industry and/or health care sector, are definite assets.

Bilingualism (English and French) would be considered an asset for this position.
