Our North American market-leading client is looking for their next Account Manager (Outside Sales) in the GTA . In this position, you will manage their client base and grow their market share in the GTA.
Responsibilities:
- Actively seek new customers in the territory that will enable the company to secure profitable business while maintaining and developing relationships with current customers.
- Attain revenue targets per Business Plan
- Promote and sell products and services to existing customers.
- Prepare estimates and quote pricing, credit terms, warranties and delivery dates.
- Participate in training sessions, trade shows and sales meetings as required.
- Create and execute an AMP (Account Management Program) that ensures appropriate sales coverage of all assigned accounts.
- Create and execute a CSP (Core Supplier Plan) to increase core supplier product sales through account targeting and co-operative activities.
Qualifications:
- Related diploma/degree in a technical field or business discipline.
- Relevant sales or industry experience is considered an asset. (electrical, wire, cable, lighting, data communication, automation)
- Open to B2B experience or other technical industrial sales.
- Must have a passion for sales and a "hunter" mentality when driving new business.
- Knowledge of the wholesale industry is considered an asset.
- Exhibits excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Skilled at assessing client needs, developing proposals, and delivering solutions.
- Knowledge of wholesale/distribution sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
