Job description

This is a contract position for a Software Developer - Full Stack for our public sector client.
Work location: North York
Duration: Eight Months
7.25 hours/day
This is a Hybrid role that requires the candidate to be onsite 2-3 days of the week (This is a mandatory requirement of the role and is non-negotiable outside of exceptional circumstances.)

Responsibilities
With multiple years of hands-on experience, we are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer specializing in WordPress, proficient in crafting custom themes and plugins. Alongside technical prowess, effective communication skills are paramount, ensuring seamless collaboration within a team environment.

- Proficient in WordPress development, with demonstrable experience in creating custom themes and plugins
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery
- Extensive experience with PHP and MySQL for back-end development within the WordPress environment
- Expertise in responsive web design and familiarity with mobile-first development principles

- In-depth knowledge of WordPress architecture, security best practices, and optimization techniques
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress, themes, and plugins efficiently
- Experience in integrating third-party APIs and web services into WordPress websites
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, for collaborative development
- Solid understanding of SEO principles and best practices for WordPress websites
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Qualifications
- Extensive Experience with Wordpress, Extensive experience with design and development of responsive web applications using Angular and popular front-end tools
- Technical as well as PM skills
- Consultant with teams - Translate needs in technical solutions
- User experience and design
